Coogee Randwick Clovelly Sub-Branch was established in 2014 following the amalgamation of the Coogee-Randwick sub-Branch and Clovelly sub-Branch (founded in 1941). In 2013, members of the Clovelly and Randwick-Coogee sub-Branches discussed merging due to Clovelly's need to relocate. With approval from both sub-branch members and the RSL State Council. The merged sub-branch began operations on January 1, 2014, The original Coogee-Randwick RSL sub-Branch was formed on August 2, 1928, and moved several times before settling at the Coogee Diggers Club.

As a registered charity with the ACNC, we operate separately from the Coogee Diggers Club, which has been governed by the Registered Clubs Act since 1976. The Sub-branch operates from a small office that we rent to conduct our charitable activities.

Our strong relationship with the Club Management is underpinned by a strong and continuous foundation of collaborative support for veterans. The Coogee Diggers Club provides facilities for meetings, social activities, commemorative events, and veteran support initiatives, such as legacy membership rates at Coogee Gym for veterans.

Our premier commemorative event is the Anzac Day Dawn Service, held at Coogee Beach since 2015, marking the centenary of Anzac Day. This significant occasion attracts large crowds and an international streaming viewership, with attendance reaching up to 25,000.
